Jagannath Puri, situated on the west coast of India in Odisha is the abode of Lord Jagannath. Though Jagannath Puri is an ancient pilgrimage, the temple as seen today was first built by Anantavarman Chodaganga in the 12th century CE. It has been renovated from time to time by different rulers including the Marathas. This temple has been attacked and looted 18 times by invaders, but rebuilt each time.
Sri Jagannath, Balabhadra (Balaram) and sister Subhadra are worshipped here. The Murtis that are enshrined in the temple are made of wood and are replaced every 12 or 19 years. Jagannath Temple has one of the biggest temple kitchens in the world.

5. Please note that almost all the rooms/hall have a certain capacity for the guests/room, it is mentioned on the page. This limit is strictly followed.
6. There are Dharmshala / Bhavan / Ashram / Sanatorium which can be booked only for the Yatris following principle of certain religion. It is clearly mentioned for each room type.
